Your companion keeps you company during recovery and handles the everyday tasks, so you can rest. That can include light housekeeping and laundry, washing your compression garment, preparing simple meals and snacks, running errands like picking up prescriptions you've already paid for, reminding you of the times your surgeon gave you, and staying close by so you're never alone. Companions don't provide hands-on personal care, such as help walking, bathing or using the bathroom. Your RN handles all hands-on care. 4-hour minimum.

Each day includes a 12-hour RN shift and a 12-hour Recovery Companion shift that overlap, so a nurse is there for hands-on care while your companion provides non-medical support.

What's Included
Here's what each option includes. We confirm your care plan and times with you before your surgery date.
Per visit or shift: a visit of up to 2 hours, or 8, 12 or 24 hours of care.
For 24-hour care, book a 12-hour block and add a note when you book; we'll confirm.
Per shift, with a 4-hour minimum: 8, 12 or 24 hours of support.
Companions don't provide hands-on personal care, such as help walking, bathing or using the bathroom. Your RN handles all hands-on care.
Three days of care at your home, hotel or Airbnb in Miami-Dade.
Every day, we follow your surgeon's post-op instructions. The shifts overlap, so your companion is never the only person with you: your RN handles all hands-on care, and your companion provides non-medical support only.
